How to keep your houseplants alive when you are away

If you have nice houseplants, you will want to make sure that they are doing well even when you are not at home. If you are planning to go away for a few days or if you are going on vacation, you will want to make sure that you are taking the right care of them. You do not want to loose your houseplants just because you are not going to be around for a few days to give them what they may need.

Plants cannot be left alone and not taken care of when you leave for a few days or longer. You must make sure that you are taking the right measures to ensure that your plants are in good hands when you are not around. You can always find someone to come over and check on your plants if you are not able to be there. Sometimes you can find friends of neighbors that you trust to do this task for you.

If you are not able, to find anyone to come over and check on your plants while you are away, you can do a few things to keep them watered and safe while you are away. You can place the plants inside their containers inside a bowl of water. You can have plates filled with water and have the plants sitting inside them. This will help them to stay well watered while you are away.

You may also want to keep them all together in a certain spot. They will be able to share the humidity when the plants are grouped together in one area. You will be able to keep them happier and healthier a lot longer when you decide to do this.

If you can at all, try to have someone stop at least once or twice and check on the houseplants. Try and make sure that someone can just come in and make sure they are still doing well so that you are not putting the houseplants at risk for death. You will feel better and it would not do any harm in asking someone for help. You will be glad that you did when you come home to happy and healthy houseplants.
